Sub-inspector dies in road accident

52-year-old Sub-inspector died after he allegedly rammed his car into an unidentified vehicle in Bisrakh, the police .The accident happened at 1.20 a.m. on Monday when Hariraj Singh, from Uttar Pradesh, was going to his home in Ghaziabad.“After receiving the information, a police team was sent to the spot. He was rushed to Vrindavan Hospital in Shahberi where he was declared brought dead. It seems that he rammed his car into another vehicle. Apart from the victim’s car, no other vehicle was found on the spot,” said Vineet Jaiswal, SP (Rural).He added that based on the primary investigation, a probe has been launched against an unidentified man. “A case under Sections 279 [rash driving] and 304A (causing death by negligence] of the IPC has been registered. Efforts are being made to track the unidentified vehicle,” Mr. Jaiswal added.Singh is survived by a wife, two daughters and a son, the police added.
